Man Crush Monday: Ed Sheeran

          He is Edward Christopher Sheeran, also known as Ed Sheeran. He is  is an English singer-songwriter. Born in Hebden Bridge, raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he moved to London in 2008 to pursue a musical career. In early 2011, Sheeran released an independent extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project, which caught the attention of both Elton John and Jamie Foxx. He then signed to Asylum Records. His debut album, +, containing the singles “The A Team” and “Lego House“, was certified quintuple platinum in the United Kingdom. In 2012, he won two Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. “The A Team” won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

           Sheeran began to become known abroad in 2012, in the United States he made a guest appearance on Taylor Swift‘s fourth studio album, Red, and wrote songs for One Direction. “The A Team” was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards and he performed the song in duet with Elton John during the ceremony. He spent much of 2013 touring North America as the opening act for Swift‘s The Red Tour. His second studio album titled x (read as “multiply“) was released worldwide on 23 June 2014, charting at number one in the UK and US. He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

          Sheeran was born in Hebden Bridge near Halifax, West Yorkshire but moved to Framlingham, Suffolk as a child. His father, John Sheeran, is an art curator and lecturer. His mother, Imogen Lock, is a culture publicist-turned-jewellery designer. His parents ran the independent art consultancy, Sheeran Lock, from 1990 to 2010. Sheeran, the younger of two boys, has an older brother, Matthew, who is a classical composer and postgraduate music student.

           Sheeran‘s paternal grandparents were Irish and he was raised as a Roman Catholic. He sang in a local church choir from the age of four, learned guitar at a very young age, and began writing songs during his time at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham. His early childhood memories include listening to Van Morrison during his trips to London with his parents and going to an intimate Damien Rice gig in Ireland when he was eleven. In addition to Rice, he has also cited The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Nizlopi and Eminem as his biggest musical influences. He is a patron of the Youth Music Theatre UK. He was accepted at the National Youth Theatre as a teenager.

          In 2012, Sheeran purchased a farm near Framlingham, Suffolk, which is currently undergoing renovation. He has stated that he hopes to raise a family there.  Sheeran lived between Hendersonville, Tennessee and Los Angeles for the duration of 2013. Sheeran is the second cousin of broadcaster Gordon Burns.

Man Crush Monday: Ansel Elgort

          He is Ansel Elgort. He is an American actor, music producer, and DJ under the name “Ansølo“. As a film actor, he is known for playing Tommy Ross in Carrie (2013), Caleb Prior in Divergent (2014), and Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars (2014).

           Elgort was born in New York City. His parents are Arthur Elgort, a photographer who has worked for Vogue, and Grethe Barrett Holby, an opera director. His father is of Russian Jewish descent, and his mother is of English, German, and Norwegian ancestry. His maternal grandmother, Aase-Grethe, was in the Norwegian resistance during World War II, and saved Norwegian Jewish children by moving them into neutral Sweden; because of these activities, she was imprisoned in a concentration camp.

           Elgort has two older siblings, Warren, a film editor, and Sophie, a photographer. At the age of nine, his mother took him to try out for School of American Ballet. He attended The Professional Performing Arts School, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and Stagedoor Manor summer camp. Elgort started taking acting classes at the age of twelve and starred in his high school’s productions of Guys and Dolls and Hairspray.

           Elgort‘s acting career began through professional stage acting, in Regrets, by Matt Charman. His on-screen debut was a secondary role in the 2013 remake of Carrie. His first highly publicized role was in Divergent as Caleb, the brother of the protagonist, Tris, played by Shailene Woodley. The film, based on a popular young adult novel by Veronica Roth, was released on March 21, 2014.

          In May 2013, immediately after the filming of Divergent was completed, it was announced that Elgort would play Augustus Waters in the film adaptation of John Green‘s novel The Fault in Our Stars, opposite Woodley who would play Hazel Grace Lancaster. The film followed the story of Hazel, a teenage cancer patient, who is forced by her parents to attend a support group, where she subsequently meets and falls in love with Waters, an ex-basketball player and amputee. The film, directed by Josh Boone, was released on June 6, 2014.

            Elgort co-stars in the comedy film Men, Women & Children, directed by Jason Reitman and due to be released in October, 2014. On June 23, 2014, Deadline announced that Elgort had been cast in the titular role in Van Cliburn. Based on the biography by Howard Reich, the film will depict Van Cliburn‘s rise to fame in 1958 when, in the midst of the Cold War, Cliburn won the first International Tchaikovsky Competition in piano – an extraordinary event, since Cliburn was from the USA. The adaptation will be produced by Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, who also produced The Fault in our Stars.

         Elgort will reprise his role as Caleb Prior in Insurgent, the second film of the book series Divergent. Filming began on May 27, 2014, with a scheduled release date of March 20, 2015.

           Elgort is repped by CAA and Brookside Artist Management’s Emily Gerson Saines.

          Under the name “Ansølo“, Elgort created a SoundCloud account to publish electronic dance music, and he has remixed songs such as “Born to Die” by Lana del Rey. In a livestream in February 2014 he stated he had signed a record deal with Tom Staar‘s new label Staar Traxx.

           His first record “Unite” was released on April 21, 2014, and May 5, 2014 on iTunes. His second record, “Totem“, was released July 21 on Beatport and iTunes.

          He is Zachary David Alexander Efron, also known as Zac Efron. He is an American actor and singer. He began acting professionally in the early 2000s, and became known as a teen idol after his lead roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, the WB series Summerland, and the 2007 film version of the Broadway musical Hairspray. Efron has since starred in the films 17 Again, Me and Orson Welles, Charlie St. Cloud, New Year’s Eve, The Lucky One, That Awkward Moment, Neighbors, and The Lorax (voice only).

            Efron was born in San Luis Obispo, California, and later moved to Arroyo Grande, California. His father, David Efron, is an electrical engineer at a power station, and his mother, Starla Baskett, is a secretary who worked at the same power plant. Efron has a brother, Dylan, and had, as he has described it, a “normal childhood” in a middle-class family. He is an agnostic, having never been religious. His surname, “Efron” (אפרון), is an Ashkenazi Jewish surname, taken from a Biblical place name (his paternal grandfather was Jewish, and Zac has described himself as Jewish).

           Efron has said that he would “flip out” if he got a “B” and not an “A” in school, and has also described himself as having been a class clown. His father encouraged him to begin acting when Zac was eleven years old. Efron subsequently appeared in theater productions at his high school, worked in the theater The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, and began taking singing lessons. He performed in shows such as Gypsy; Peter Pan; or, The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up; Little Shop of Horrors; and The Music Man. He was recommended to an agent in Los Angeles by his drama teacher, Robyn Metchik (the mother of actors Aaron Michael Metchik and Asher Metchik). Efron was later signed to the Creative Artists Agency.

          Efron graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 2006 and was then accepted into the University of Southern California, but has deferred his enrollment to work on film projects. He also attended Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, a community college located in Santa Maria, California, which provided him with the opportunity to perform as a “young player” during the years of 2000 and 2001.

           Efron was on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list in 2008 as number 92, with estimated earnings of $5.8 million from June 2007 to June 2008. As of April 5, 2009, his personal wealth equaled about $10 million. People magazine said in 2007 that Efron and Vanessa Hudgens began dating in 2005 during the filming of High School Musical, although Us magazine said, after the two broke up in December 2010, that they “met in 2005 while making the first High School Musical flick, and became a romantic item about two years later.”

          Efron sought treatment in early 2013 after struggling with alcoholism and substance abuse. He has been sober since June 2013.

Man Crush Monday: Luke Hemmings

           He is Luke Robert Hemmings, also known as Luke Hemmings. He is the guitarist and lead vocalist of 5 Seconds of Summer, along with band members Calum Hood, Michael Clifford, and Ashton Irwin.He and band members Michael Clifford and Calum Hood went to the same school.

            Hemmings started making covers of songs of various artists on YouTube under the account name “hemmo1996“. The first video he uploaded on the site, posted on February 3, 2011, is a cover of “Please Don’t Go” by Mike Posner. Later on, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood joined, thus forming the band “5 Seconds of Summer“. Shortly afterward, on December 3, 2011, they added Ashton Irwin, completing the present four-man line up.

           Billboard branded Luke with the title of the heartthrob of 5SOS, saying: He’s got the lip ring, the perfectly coiffed blonde hair, the disarming smile, the devastating blue eyes. He’s got the most Twitter followers out of all the 5SOS lads (2.17 million) and hundreds of thousands of likes on all of his Instagram photos. At this point, his HSP rating (Harry Styles Potential) is off the charts.

           Who won’t love Luke Hemmings? He got the looks, the voice, the height, everything that gays and girls are looking for a boy. One thing that make him attractive is his lower lip pierced. His blonde hair is a plus to me, his cockiness too.

              Some people say that Luke and Calum are secretly homo’s and couple, but what if they really are? Who cares! I still love them. But as a fan, I know they aren’t. But still wishin’ that they could be bisexuals as what I always see on their Twitcams, but not with Luke and Calum, but with Luke and Michael. I always caught them kissing “hiddenly.”

Man Crush Monday: Ed Westwick

           He is Edward Westwick, also known as Ed Westwick. He is  is an English actor and musician, known for his role as Chuck Bass on The CW‘s teen drama series Gossip Girl (2007–2012). He has also appeared in films such as S. Darko (2009), Chalet Girl (2011), J. Edgar (2011), and Romeo and Juliet (2013).

           Westwick fronted the British indie rock band The Filthy Youth, composed of himself, Ben Allingham, Jimmy Wright, Tom Bastiani, and John Vooght. The band, formed in 2006, was inspired by the Rolling Stones, The Doors and Kings of Leon. The songs “Come Flash All You Ladies” and “Orange” were both featured in an episode of Gossip Girl.

           Keen on football, Westwick is a Chelsea F.C. supporter. He is friends with footballer Charlie Henry.

           He shared an apartment with Gossip Girl co-star Chace Crawford in Chelsea, Manhattan at the beginning of the series in 2007 until July 2009 when Crawford moved out.

           What I loved about Ed Westwick was his nose, his jaw and his arrogant gay look. I just find him attractive by that.

Man Crush Monday: Dylan O’Brien

         He is Dylan O’Brien. He is an American actor, musician, and director. He co-stars as “Stiles” Stilinski in the MTV series Teen Wolf. He also co-starred in the film High Road, and starred in the films The First Time and The Maze Runner.

           O’Brien was born in New York City, the son of Lisa (née Rhodes), a former actress who also ran an acting school, and Patrick O’Brien, a camera operator. He grew up in Springfield Township, New Jersey, until the age of twelve, when he and his family moved to Hermosa Beach, California. His father is of Irish descent, and his mother is of Italian, English, and Spanish ancestry. After graduating from Mira Costa High School in 2009, he considered pursuing sports broadcasting and possibly working for the Mets. He had planned to attend Syracuse University in fall 2009 as a sports broadcasting major but decided to move to Los Angeles for an acting career.

          At fourteen, O’Brien began posting original videos onto his YouTube channel. With the videos developing, a local producer/director approached him about doing work for a web series of hers. While working on the webseries, O’Brien met an actor who connected him with a manager. He went through several auditions before getting one for the main role in MTV‘s Teen Wolf. After reading the script O’Brien wanted to audition for the part of Stiles instead. After four auditions he was cast.

          In 2011, he began playing the role of Stiles in Teen Wolf, a series loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name. In 2013, O’Brien co-starred in the comedy film The Internship, with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. He played the lead role in the 2014 film The Maze Runner, the adaptation of the book of the same name. He filmed the movie in summer 2013 while on hiatus from Teen Wolf. Yahoo! Movies named O’Brien as one of the 15 Breakout Stars to Watch for in 2014. Pre-production for the Maze Runner sequel began in early September 2014 in New Mexico.

         In addition to acting in film and on television, O’Brien has produced, directed, and starred in a number of comedic short films produced for and released through his personal YouTube channel, and he is also the drummer for the independent rock band Slow Kids at Play.

          O’Brien has been in a relationship with actress Britt Robertson since they met while filming The First Time in 2012.

          He is Zain Javadd Malik, also known as Zayn Malik. He is a member of One Direction along with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan.

         Zayn was born in West Lane, Baildon, Bradford, England. He is of English and Pakistani descent. He was born to British-Pakistani father Yaser Malik and English mother Patricia. He has one older sister, Doniya, and two younger sisters, Waliyha and Safaa. He and his family are Muslim. Zayn grew up in East Bowling, located south of the Bradford city centre. He was a student at Lower Fields Primary School in East Bowling and went to Tong High School, a state comprehensive school.

        In 2010, when he was 17 years old, Zayn auditioned in Manchester for the seventh series of The X Factor.  He sang “Let Me Love You” by Mario. All three judges — Simon, Louis, and Nicole — gave him a ‘yes’. His audition was initially not broadcast, but was later shown on The Xtra Factor.

        Zayn was noted for becoming nervous in bootcamp. When he was told he had to dance, he decided to remain backstage, effectively running the risk of elimination. When Simon noticed Zayn missing from the dance routine, he went backstage to convince him to return. Later on, Zayn said it was a lack of confidence that caused him to run away.

          Following The X Factor, One Direction signed a record contract with Sony Music subsidiary Syco Music. They released their studio album, Up All Night. A few years later on February 29, 2012, Zayn left One Direction‘s tour to return to the UK and be with his family due to the death of a family member.

          Zayn smokes cigarettes. In late 2011, he announced that his New Year’s resolution was to quit smoking. However, he was photographed throughout 2012 still smoking. Zayn has stopped smoking ever since early 2013. In late May 2014, a video — recorded in April — from fellow band member Louis Tomlinson‘s phone was leaked by The Daily Mail, revealing the two boys alongside other members of their management team smoking cannabis in Peru. The footage additionally contained Zayn insulting the merchandise, stating that both them and the fans are tired of irrelevant facts such as “Zayn‘s favorite color is blue”. Liam took it to Twitter to apologize for the boys’ behavior, explaining that their young age led them to make these mistakes.

          Zayn dated fellow The X Fa​ctor contestant Geneva Lane briefly in 2010. At the time, he was 17 and she was 20, but soon they broke up. In 2011, Zayn began dating The X Factor‘s season seven runner-up, Rebecca Ferguson when he was 18, and she was 24. Their relationship drew media attention because of the six year age difference. Their relationship ended after four months in July 2011. And now, he is currently engaged to Perrie Edwards from The X Factor ‘s season eight winner, Little Mix.

          His first tattoo is والتر, which is his grandfather’s name, Walter, in Arabic on his chest toward the upper right. He got the tattoo after his grandfather passed away while he was on The X Factor. During an interview with Capital FM in September 2011, Zayn confirmed he had two additional tattoos. He stated that he had a Japanese symbol that means “born lucky” on his stomach (which was later covered up by a heart), and a yin and yang symbol on his left wrist. Zayn has said that the crossed fingers on his forearm are a symbol of good luck. He tweeted that the inscription across his collarbone meant “be true to who you are”. The tattoo of Perrie was done during the American leg of the boy’s second tour “Take Me Home” in Maryland. The image of perrie is a “hippy” version with a beanie and a peace sign t-shirt. The snake and tiger were done in a hotel room during the Oceania leg of the Take Me Home Tour.

Man Crush Monday: Nick Bateman

           He is Nicholas Kevin Stanley Yunge-Bateman, also known as Nick Bateman. He is  a Canadian model and actor. He was born in Burlington, Ontario. At age 4 he engage in karate and soon he won few awards. At age 20 he graduated the Capilano University in Vancouver and then opened his own karate school. Soon he started his modeling career and during his modeling career he lived in Milan, as well as New York and Miami. Bateman is also known as a film actor, having co-starred in the 2011 film Hobo with a Shotgun.

          After watching this video, I’ve got interested in him, like LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. With a shirtless doing that thing, who won’t fall in love for him. Damn! That was so hot!

           What I love about Nick Bateman is that he’s definitely hot. He’s sexy, smokin’ sexy. I love his facial hair which really look him like a buffed man.           He is Claudio Castagnoli, better known by his former ring name Antonio Cesaro and currently performing as Cesaro, is a Swiss professional wrestler. Castagnoli has been contracted with WWE since September 2011. He was previously known for his work (under his real name) in Ring of Honor (ROH), various independent promotions, and the Japan-based Pro Wrestling Noah.

         Castagnoli is an accomplished tag team wrestler, being a two-time ROH World Tag Team Champion with his partner Chris Hero as the Kings of Wrestling (where their 364 day reign as champions was the longest in company history), as well various independent tag team titles both with Hero and with Ares as Swiss Money Holding, such as the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas, the JCW Tag Team Championship and the CZW World Tag Team Championship. Castagnoli and Hero were voted as the 2010 Tag Team of the Year by Wrestling Observer Newsletter readers. He has also had success as a singles wrestler, having won the WWE United States Championship and the inaugural André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX along with numerous independent singles titles, most notably the PWG World Championship.

          Particularly in the United States, Castagnoli emphasizes his European origin as part of his wrestling gimmick to proclaim a superior intellect and fashion sensibility, not only by speaking five languages (English, German, Italian, French, and his native Swiss-German dialect), but also by regularly using the European uppercut.

          What I love about Cesaro is that he is so manly enough. He’s buffed and loving those abs. If this really asked me to marry him, I won’t hesitate to say YES. I will marry a handsome  wrestler and a buffed superhero. I just fin him hot and sexy, that’s all.

Man Crush Monday: Jesse McCartney

           He is Jesse McCartney. He is an American singer- songwriter, actor and voice actor. McCartney achieved fame in the late 1990’s on the daytime drama All My Children as JR Chandler. He later joined boy band Dream Street, and eventually branched out into a solo musical career. Additionally, McCartney has appeared on shows such as Summerland and Greek. McCartney also is known for lending his voice as Theodore in Alvin and the Chipmunks and its sequels, as well as voicing Robin/ Nightwing in Young Justice and Roxas and Ventus in the video games series Kingdom Hearts developed by Square Enix.

           Jesse McCartney is my high school crush ’til now. I love his voice, so R&B, so catchy and so mesmerizing. Ever since he started at singing, since Beautiful Soul, I started to like him. I think he’s nice, gentleman, a sweet guy. I’ve fantasized him ever (not sexually). I think he is a boyfriend material.

             I told myself that if he ever court me, I will answer him immediately and marry him on that day. I will never let him go like his ex- girlfriends did. It’s not Jesse‘s loss, it’s theirs.
